{drum roll} It's a boy!!

We are such a blessed family! Lucas Alonzo Foster joined our family on 11/20/2010 @ 3:24am. Yes you read that right, Lucas was born on Riley's birthday!! They are 2 years and 29 minutes apart! What are the chances?!

Lucas wieghed 8lbs 11oz and is 21.5 inches long. The labor and deliver was really intense and fast and we had the most amazing nurse, resident, and ob doc ever! Thayer hospital really is THE place to go if you're having a baby. Twice now I can say that they were completely amazing -all the nurses, housekeeping, residents and the people delivering my food! Just great! And one of the nurses got Riley a birthday cake and all the nurses came in singing to her! Brought tears to my eyes!

Riley loves Lucas! She calls him baby right now, she can't really pronounce Lucas. She is really good with him and hasn't seemed too jealous of mom & dad spending time with him. But when his auntie came and held him or when his grammy held him -jealousy popped up!

Whoa – long time no blog!

So Yes it has been a really long time since I have posted anything!  Sorry!  (and this is totally for my stepmom!  I hope these are enough pictures!)

A LOT has happened since my last post.  We sold the old house and bought a new house in Chelsea. We love it!

We found out the day before our offer was accepted on the new house that we were having another baby!! We haven’t found out what the gender is, and it is driving me nuts!! We’ll find out on or about 11/23!! 3 days after Riley’s 2nd b-day!!

 

Riley is just amazing!  She is so smart and lovable!  Here are some pics of her and some of our summer endeavors.  The most recent was our trip to the orchard for our annual apple picking with my brothers, father and Missy!

How time flies!!

It seems like just yesterday I posted a blog about Christmas. I can't get over how fast time flies when you have a child. I never truly appreciated the warnings "She'll grow so fast" until now, after realizing that this month Riley is 15 months old, yup 15 months! She is so smart and absolutely adorable! She can say a few more words now (again, huh, ummm, yup, nononono, mom, dad, hi, dog, duck) and she can do a couple signs. She is so independent...she won't even play with me half the time! She gives kisses like crazy now too!

This is one of the boys I watch after school. Riley just adores him and his brother and they are so good with her.

Riley's cousin Anne took her sledding after a huge storm, they had fun but eventually had to go to the driveway to pull Riley because the snow was too deep. This is probably Riley's favorite cousin, she loves Anne!

Our good friend TJ and Becky had their baby boy, Scottie on 1/1/10. Riley is soo cute with him and she just loved holding him. She kept kissing his forhead and hand, just like I do to her when I hold her. So cute! I think she is ready to be a big sister!
